- Anna Wintour
Again, I'm NOT here to tell you how to succeed, neither give you a list of success tips. My goal is to inspire you through examples of Truth. Meaning people who stuck to their guns and only did what they desired and believed in. Best example of this? Miss Anna Wintour, a bad bitch for sure.
THIS IS WHAT MADE ANNA WINTOUR UNIQUE TOWARDS HER EFFORTLESS JOURNEY TOWARDS SUCCESS:
STUBBORN
Stubborn can be healthy. From a young age at private schools, altering her seam lines that went against dress codes to breaking all of Vogues's rules on her first cover, she did what she wanted and it paid off.
SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE WANTS AND GETS IT ... NOW!
Anna Wintour, to some, known as "Nuclear Winter" for her intense, demanding and ever intimidating personality, earned her title as one of the most powerful woman in fashion. She got what she wanted. No question. She created her dream job and did not give in to Vogue's job offer until she was confirmed double the current salary and setting up her own responsibilities, thus creating a new position at Vouge: Creative Manager. Perfectionist indeed, as Miss Wintour did not let anything slide. She did not even allow Oprah's extra 20lbs slide. She requested her to lose them before placing her on the cover of Vogue. Woa.
ALOOF BUT FOCUSED
Aloof, or better said, FOCUSED personalities are heavily criticized arguing they are cold and cruel. She limited her social life and exposure. She spent no longer than 20 minutes at party gatherings, and demanded she not be seated next to other editors at fashion shows. She was not one to stop and carry you towards the top. If you could handle and keep up with her then you conquered with her.
BLUNT
"Impeccable truth" and "direct to the point" vocabulary was her language. I'm not saying this is how all should speak. Instead, I demonstrate the power of speaking personal Truth without interruption or worry of others opinions. Being emotionally unnacttached got her far and very quickly.
RESPECT TOWARDS SELF
Some of her habits such as turning cellphone off during meals, going to bed no later than 10.15pm, and eating certain meals religiously were routines she adopted giving her the highest performance possible. She was aware it was her body and mind that did most of the dirty work.
Now on to us ... How does it relate?
STUBBORN
I always say those who are stubborn as a child are those who become geniuses as an adult. Honor that quality for you are not easily "domesticated". Honor that quality and you will see why you are so certain to stick with something as much as you do.
KNOW WHAT YOU WANT...
And if you want it now, then so be it. Don't let guilt kill you before everybody else does. There is a fine line. There is a sacrifice. There is a choice. Do you wish to please people or be completely driven by a dream? Neither is wrong or right. Simply a decision, an experience. Balance is perfect, but ultimately you will need to focus your energy on one. When chosen, create a blueprint of exactly what you want. Wintour had high expectation because she knew she could get the best. Don't settle for less.
BLUNT
Impeccable truth. Impeccable being defined as faultless; flawless; irreproachable. Say what you mean and don't regret or apologize. Your voice, your thoughts are vital to human evolution. God(s) speaks through us. Your voice is godly.
RESPECT TOWARDS SELF.
How do you treat yourself. Your body, mind and especially your spirit work harmoniously together to create dreams. When things seem to be off, always examine your relationship with your Self. Have you fed yourself? Pampered yourself? Rested enough? Set up routines that will keep you at your highest performance. (Visit InTune page for further guidance with this.)
Be your beautiful Self my Love,
Queen Goddess
challengeMe #2
Exercises to strengthen belief muscles.
Sit with guilt and let it be. Watch it transform you towards your Truth. Guilt forms when inner or personal voice has been shut down, ignored, or neglected. Instead of believing this is a "bad" emotion, be open and allow it to guide you towards your Truth.
Exercise: Think of any recent feelings of guilt. Maybe even ones you wish to erase. Trust me on this one. Now allow your mind to focus on that feeling of guilt and sit with it for a moment. Take deep breaths and fully experience all emotions that come with it. Do not resit any of it and allow it to fully emerge. You may have thoughts or visions that surprise you from your childhood or recent past experiences. Look at the situation with love. Listen with your heart. What it is telling you? What will you do now to transform this feeling from fear to love?
To simply become aware of "negative" emotions, we allow the healing process to begin, thus halting further experiences similar to them and allowing higher vibrational experiences in... like your dreams.
loveMe #2
Exercises to Self nurture and love.
Boundaries are crucial and healthy towards the achievement to dreams. Everything we see in our surroundings are a reflection of our inner person, our thoughts, our desires, our beliefs. Life doesn't happen to us. We have control. Who and what do we accept in our life in fear we will hurt their feelings if we don't. Yes, it takes huge "cajones" and a lot of brutal honesty, but it will save much needed energy in the future towards dreams, balance and happiness.
Questions to ask Self:
What people and/or situations drain me?
What relationships are no longer healthy for me?
What shows/programs could I got without?
What unnecessary events am I attending?
What activities deplete my energy instead of increasing it?
What times are specifically set up for "Me"?
